I remember pining after Shenmue in magazines and begging my dad for a Dreamcast when a local store was trying to get rid of their stock for under $100 (he said no).
Years later, I finally have one and am starting to build a collection! As I seek good deals I’ve been researching the Dreamcast’s library and thought I would share some of the fruits of that research with you. I hope it’s useful!

Capcom’s horrific sequel fueled approximately 1.14 million nightmares when it released in 2000.
4.) Shenmue
Mundane and magical in equal measure, the 2000 debut of Sega’s singular saga shipped approximately 1.20 million units.
3.) NFL 2K
The Sega Sports brand started strong on the Dreamcast in 1999 with 1.20 million units.
2.) Crazy Taxi
Arguably the most iconic game on the console, Sega’s beloved arcade game tore through approximately 1.81 million homes in 2000.
1.) Sonic Adventure
At a staggering 2.42 million units, if you owned a Dreamcast in its all too brief lifetime you most likely owned a copy of 1999’s Sonic Adventure.
